Hi,

I'm still here. This list has certainly hit some turbulance. Anytime so
many people unsubscribe, it's bad news. While I have mainly been a
lurker, I do read most of the posts (though I have been deleting more
frequently lately). Personally, I like SIMON'S stories, and would love
to have some of the opportunities he's had. I used to work on oilrigs,
and we liked seeing a little grey hair around. Nothing beats experience.
Young punks thought they knew everything, but the older farts might save
your ass.

And now a new question. A while back, there was a thread on building
your own rotational camera, such as a LarScan. I have an old Koni Omega
Rapid 200 that looks like it could be converted to a rotational camera.
I've looked at the Larscan sites, and have some idea of what I need to
do. I would appreciate any opinions from anybody who has built their own
rotational camera. Is it even worth the effort.

In the long run, I'm dreaming of a Cirkut #10. Presently, I shoot with a
Fuji G617, which is my favorite camera, but panoramic photography is
addictive, and I want to expand my horizon.

Happy New Year,
Steve
