A correction on this note I sent:

I finally found my price list from Beattie and the focusing screen for the 
G617 was 235 in 1996. So, it is probably close to 250 or 275 by now.

Regardless, they are a well respected company with products that typically 
work much better than stock focusing screens, so I'm told.
