David,
A few of them were drum scans of 35 mm pano and 120 6x9 Velvia. As drum scans
are expansive I decided a while ago to do my own scans. There are lots of
quality 35 mm scanners on the market but 120 film scanners are rare. So I
bought a Microtek Artixscan 4000t for 35 mm film, that include pano frames by
Noblex and Xpan. I had to stitch two scans together for them of course. At
a trade show I had 8 6x9 originals scanned free of charge by an Imacon and a
Duoscan T2500 which I needed to use urgently. My 120 film is still giving me
headaches as an Imacon is very expansive. Many of the 12x40 images were
stitched together using both Photoshop and The Panorama Factory by John Strait
(free download). Prior to my shooting of the New Year's Eve firework here in
Sydney, I knew none of my existing cameras would work. So I chose the digital
route and had everything well planned. One of the images that I'm working on
is that firework show.
