A number of years ago a presidental canidate was stoping at a local
airport. I wanted to shoot the scene with my Globuscope...hand held.
Since I had been in the news business before and had dealt with the
Secret Service I did not want a problem. Got there early, found their
command center, showed them my card, id and the camera. They thought the
camera was cool and were more interested in it than me!
So they..the secret service was not "surprized" at all when I started to
take pictures. In fact they helped me get a little better position to
make the shot. The last thing I wanted to do was pop up with a strange
looking device and get taken down before I could expose the film.
