Eyelite was successfully tested under Windows 98 and NT with Netscape 4.7
and Internet explorer 5 for images of 3600*800 pixels displayed in an applet
of 640*480 pixels. Animation remains fluid on a Pentium II 450 with 128Mb
RAM and with a Matrox G200 graphic card. We did a real effort on memory
management for eyelite, so it is almost unlimited by the images size.

+ optimized memory management, practically no limit in the size of images;
+ multi nodes panoramic without page, nor applet loading (switching from one
image to another only requires the new image loading, and if the image is
already loaded, switching is instantaneous);
+ bilinear filtering of images, limits the pixelization effect, in
particular for zooms;
+ splash screen and navigation bar personalization (add your logo,
hyperlinks...)
+ tool tips on hyper links;
+ cursor mouse management to help the user;
+ vertical or horizontal progressive loading of the images with possibility
of action during the loading;

- spherical panoramic are missing, eyelite currently only supports cylindric
ones;

= hypertext links (rectangular, cylindrical or polygonal) allowing to switch
to another panoramic or web page;
= javascripts functions to pilot eyelite.
