One has to check this with different lense types, but my experience is that
withthe Artars and regular g clarons, and probobly the ronars, one can get
closer to the vignetting before the loss of sharpness occurs. The WA
gclaron has a pretty obvious loss of sharpness way before the vignette
occurs. I'm guessing it doesn't happen at 1:1 Jamie
