ALAN- YOU ARE COVERING ONLY THE SLIT. DIFFERENCE WILL BE IN THE LENGTH OF YOUR TRANSPARENCY. THERE WILL BE A DIFF IN HEIGHT BUT IT IS ALREADY SO GREAT YOU'LL BE WISHING FOR LESS WITH THE FISHEYE LENS. SNAILMAIL YOUR ADDRESS IN BLOCK FORM GETS YOU LARGE DRAWING OF MY CYCLOPAN WITH ZEISS FISHEYE FOR HASSELBLAD THEREON. THIS ONE ONLY MODEL USED SIX DIFF HASSELBLAD LENSES. I PREFER YOU CONTACT ME DIRECTLY OFF LIST, SIMON NATHAN FROM BEHIND HIS ROCK NEAR THE WENDY'S ON MAIN STREET IN EAST ORANGE, NJ, USA. THE FISHEYE WOULD BE MY SECOND CHOICE BECAUSE IT DELIVERS TOO MUCH VERTICAL ANGLE. THIS IS OPINION FROM EXPERIENCE ONLY.

Colleagues,

I don't know anything about ultra-wide lenses and have questions. For a
rotating panorama camera does it matter if a lens is flat field or fisheye
since a narrow vertical aperture is used?  The choice is between a 15mm
Sigma fisheye and a sigma 14mm flat field.  Are their optical qualities of
fisheye lenses that make them unsuitable for a panning camera? btw anyone
know a url with data on these lenses?

thanks
