cirkut gears

I bought an 8" cirkut outfit and it came with some duplicate gears (all
gears are repros) two of these gears have a longer shaft than the
others, all else being the same.

If I use the longer shaft gears, they don't meet the ring gear on the
tripod by about 1/4".  Is there another camera that uses these or were
these added just to confuse me?  ( the gear numbers are 55 & 59)
