Hi Colin
Thanks for the offer of the photos, they will certainly help in the
contruction process. Something I was wondering is if they are adjustable and
if you need adjustment, I guess front rise and fall will take care of some
of it.
I was in Sydney earlier in the year and came across quite a number of colour
cirkut photos of sports teams, I contacted a local cirkut shooter here, Ian
Leeden and he said they were yours, so ....it's a pleasure to have contact
with you especially as I'm familiar with your work.
Are there other cirkut shooters in Oz?
I'm new to cirkut photography having bought my camera late last year but I
have been shooting 4x5 and 8x10 for a few years now so this was a natural
progression. I'm going to the States next month to do a large format
workshop in Utah after which I'm doing a few days of shooting with a cirkut
photographer in Georgia, so I should come back with enough competance to run
the camera properly.
Where I live in Wellington there is a history of cirkut photographers and I
hope to carry on where they left off. One of them, R P Moore was the most
prolific pan photographer we had, he worked from 1921 to 27 then emigrated
to Sydney, so you may have seen some of his work over there.
Bob contacted me and gave me the program, a friend is converting to excel
and I'm sending a copy back to Bob.
I've been reading the mailing list archive and I came across your reply
about finding the correct focal length for a gear using a white board/black
cross , BRILLIANT! nothing could be any simpler.
Thanks again for your kind offer
Clayton
