Panoramic shots

Hello!

I am new to this list and was looking for some help.


I am interested in using a panoramic head and shooting scenics. Then, using
Photoshop, I want to stitch the images together to make a 180 degree view of
the scene.

Here are my questions:

1. How big of a file and what format should I save the image for the highest
quality to reproduce in a book?

2.  Are there any places that I can send the file to and have an actual
transparency made out of it?
