Hi Stan,
There has been a furore on the epson inkjet list about the 870 and 1270,
apparently if you print onto some papers, glossy is one that I am certain of,
the prints will fade because of a cross reaction with ozone which eliminates the
cyan ink altogether. So you need to be wary about any archival claims, or any
claims about longevity altogether.Sorry to rain on your parade, you might like
to contact epson for some advice as they are at this point acknowledging the
problem and offering to buy back the printers and consumables.
