richard- i have owned panon, panox,
panophic cameras since 1957 and i knew shozo nakayama, its designer from
korea who took a japanese name. about 1972, in los angeles, he showed me
movie version panophic. tell me what you really want to know. the wideluxes
were numerous in models. pop photo published my story on premature return
of 120 film widelux 74-75, as i recall. as footnote, modern published q&a
ref to simon and widelux and it was joke because i never really used 35mm
one though i owned one.

What swing-lens panoramic cameras were available
in 1974? I assume the Widelux was on the market - which model might it
have been?
This information is need for an article being written for the next (September)
issue of IAPP's Panorama magazine.
This article is being authored by an archivist from the Nixon Presidential
Materials Project of the National Archives. On Nixon's last day in office,
several swing-lens panoramic shots were taken at the final press conference
and outside the White House showing the helicopter waiting for the president
and his family.
Interesting stuff.
Thanks,
Richard
