13x50 printer

I recently purchased a HP DeskJet 1220C for about $850 Canadian including
taxes. It is capable of printing 13 x 50 inches maximum.
The print quality is quite good and the ink cost is less than $1 per
sq.foot. HP 800 series inks can also be used as refills.

I had to shut off the spooler and image enhancement for large prints that
were from Photoshop 5.0 as 128 meg of ram doesn't seem to be enough.

All of my panoramas are shot with digital cameras, stitched, and adjusted in
Adobe Photoshop. Save your work vertically, it prints faster and printing a
panoramic in landscape mode may show light banding.

I use card stock that comes in rolls 12.7 inches wide that are recycled from
a printer at the end of a run. The rolls start with about 3000 ft. and are
often discarded with 20 to 50 feet of paper on them.

For anyone who scans their negs or stitches digital images this printer is
worth considering.
