I have one of the first Noblex sold. After a while I
too started to get erratic exposures on slow speeds.
The problem was due to grit and crud in the works. I
used WD40 as a cleaning agent and the blower on my
shopvac to blow it away. It took several attempts to
blow the gunk out, also fine grit had to be ground up
and loosened by a hundred or so turns of the drum at
high speeds between WD40 applications.

I suspect that SOME of the "electronics" problems with
Noblex may have really been fixed by the cleaning of
the camera and lubricating of the bearings that the
repairman did at the same time.

Ask yourself... "When was the last time my Noblex had
a cleaning and lub job?" If the answer is not in the
last year I recomend that it is due. If the answer is
never then do not be suprized if you get erratic
exposures.

IMHO: Are you one of those dummies who walks around on
the trail all day with your Noblex around your neck?
Shame on you. Consider changing your ways. ALL moving
cameras such as Noblex, Roundshot, Cirkut must be kept
clean! For the 135 Noblex I recomend a fanny pack.
Pull your Noblex out to take the picture then zip it
up to keep it clean. Practice safe photography.

:-)
