Haven't had it made yet......I rang a clock repairer who I found in the
yellow pages.....he said he could get any size from an overseas company (I'm
in New Zealand) and he would check on the internet once I gave him the size.
I haven't done a search but you may be able find the company (and there's
probably more than one) he was talking about .
He then said if length was critical I would be better getting one locally
made as clock springs tend to vary in length as once a clock is wound up
they run for a week or so and any variation doesn't matter too much.
Back to the yellow pages....I rang a few spring makers and all said it
shouldn't be a problem. The clock repairer said he had always had good
results from the locally made ones.
Sounds to me like it's a pretty straight forward job, take your spring along
to them, they measure it and make up a new one to suit....not sure who pulls
it out of the case?.......can get nasty if you don't know what you're doing
:>(
I'll let you know how I get on.
