1. the only thing I have to add is, if there is a distinct "banding"--line
seen on the film, then it is probably due to shooting into the sun.
generally, if you can see the sun in the viewfinder (ie if the sun is
fairly low on the horizon), you cannot shoot into the sun using the noblex
because you will get a vertical line on the film... however from your
description, sounds like it's not overtly visible on the film, however
shows up on the scan--which is probably a different matter.
