Ted,

I just picked up a AGFA e-50 flat bed scanner that comes with the trans
adapter built into the cover, now it's only for putting your stuff on 
line or simple/sample prints. But at 179.00 from B&H I don't think you 
going to do better to start off with... The Negative adp. is just one
long strip down the center of the bed, so you can do three scans!!!

I have just started this digital stuff, I am using a iMac dvd g3 with
256k ram, the agfa e-50 scanner and I am unpacking tonight a Epson
1160 printer I just picked up from www.refurbdepot.com for 186.00
plus shipping.... Wish me luck, I know what I am going to be doing this
weekend.

Right now I have a Horizon 202, soon to be replaced with a Noblex 135U
I think...
