Alan Zinn suggested www.omnipak.com: they sell 2/3/4
mil tubes of polyethylene for about 1/5 the cost of
Filmguard: $70 including shipping for 8" diameter
(12"+ flat) .003 thick, 1450ft. You would have to slit
one side to put the film in. They are polyethylene,
not polypropylene, but both are archival. It's not
quite as clear (.04 vs .02) as polypropylene. Anybody
know why it shouldn't be used?
