beginner

Hi,
I'm pretty much new to panoramic photography. I've done a couple of web 
searches but all searches turn up contradicting info. I'm not sure of how to 
go about acquiring and using equipment and software.
I am very interested in this cubic software I've been hearing about and any 
hardware involved in the process.

Looking forward to some suggestion.
