Once again, John B. is right! I checked Realist double-element lenses and
I was able to see a very faint and small third reflection caused by the
interface between the two elements. I could not see this reflection in a
Realist single-element lens. It helps to have a black background behind
the lens.
The next Inside-3d will have list of 5 different ways to tell a single vs.
double-element lens in a stereo slide viewer, plus info on well-known
viewers that were supplied with both types of lenses.
