Revere 33 rangefinder

Hi, all!
I have a late-model Revere 33 "on consignment" from a friend. It seems to
be in perfect shape... The images on the rangefinder, however, appear on
top of each other and do not blend. They meet sideways, but not up and
down, although the focusing wheel indicates the correct camera-to-subject
distance.  Is this a problem, or is it normal for a Revere? Thanks,
