Evaluation: Virtual Boy

Time to share some humble opinions.

On 19 nov 95, "MagicianRM" asked if anyone is playing with the Virtual Boy
stereoscopic game system.

I'll raise my hand here and report that I like VB just fine. The stereo
*sound* is impressive, and the stereo graphics are refreshing. That is, I'm
glad it exists, but longterm play on the beasty can get uncomfortable. The
fact that it is small enough to be a large set of goggles by large enough to
require your leaving it on a table usually results in "ergonomic misshaps."
I like the Tennis and Red Alarm games, but the system itself usually gives
me a neck cramp and a sweaty brow. I will continue to support the technology
since I wish no stereoscopic effort to fail (I weap for Nishika). When I see
the "Mario" games that will be here for December gift giving, I will decide
how much I like the system. So, if someone offers you one for
Christmas/Giftday, take it.
