Watch out! What kind of current and voltage are we talking about here? I
wouldn't trust a small audio jack at much more than a few tenths of an amp
and certainly not more than 50 volts ac.

Find something more robust to use. At least a large (1/4") audio jack. And
then not at 112 vac.
