I'm not sure what camera George is talking about putting a level on (that's
probably a stupid question, huh?), but certainly for a camera, the smaller
the better. I have used many of the typical bubble levels from hardware
store levels to attach to camera's (Loreo, twin SLR's, polaroids) . The
levels are about 3/8" in dia. and are either 1" or 1 1/2" long. The cheapest
way to get them is to buy the SEARS white plastic 9" long bubble level for
$.99. You get two short and one long bubble unit with each level. They
easily push out. So that is only $.33 for each bubble. But they are
probably a little too big for some of the stereo cameras, they don't hide
well. I believe that Stereo Type (Craig Daniels) sells a smaller bubble
meant for the Nimslo. If you are really adventurous, you can make your own
small bubble with a short length of small dia.clear vinyl tubing , and
bearing ball that will roll inside, and some silicone fluid or oil. It's fun
to do, but it can get messy if it leaks.
