Yes and could you cite your source?

A Generous Enormous small lamp catalog gives 

output = voltage^3.6
life = voltage^-12

where "=" stands for "proportional to"

Also, can you say why a gas-filled lamp works better than 
a vacuum lamp?  The physics or chemistry of it, that is.
