Hi, Joe!
Yes, I was out of town (and nowhere near a computer) when your message came.
Fortunately, the dealer I bought the camera from is really great and is
having it repaired as we speak. The shutter was also acting up, by the
way... I was able to get an instruction manual from Reel 3-D. Like you, it
says that the images in the rangefinder should blend. Thanks for the
advice,
