A friend of mine with an RBT camera mounts into 31.5mm wide mounts, and has
(to my surprise) succesfully widened his red-button Realist viewer out so
that these images are viewable. I would have thought that there was
insufficient bakelite around the depression in the middle of the viewer
where your fingers go to remove the slide. But he seems to have made it
work OK.

Of course there's the other issue of lense coverage, which can't properly
cover this size image. But from what I saw I'd say the project was
worthwhile if you can accept having to move your head relative to the
lenses in order to see right into the corner of the image.
