Nishica 8000 questions

Hi stereoholics:

I ran across a brand new Nishica 8000 outfit with flash, leather case, 
instructional video all in the custom form fitted foam box.  Not a single 
frame of film run through it.  The manual, flash and video are still shrink 
wrapped.  The sample picture that was included in the package was pretty 
interesting too.   Could someone briefly explain the theory behind these 
viewerless 3d's?  It was a yard sale bargain and I thought about making him 
an offer for it.   (ok Dr. T, bite your tounge) :-)

I recall a thread from a month or two ago about there being a shortage at 
Nimslo or Nishika of the processing supplies.  If this is true does that 
make the Nishica's worthless? (Ok Dr. T).    Are there other labs processing 
the Nishica film?
