Modern stereo slide viewers

Tim asked about good new viewers in the market.  For some reason, 
companies like FED and RBT, decided that it is more important to make 
new stereo cameras and stereo projectors, than new viewers.

The only new battery operated viewers are the Life-Like and Star-D (both in
Reel 3-D's catalog).  I hear that RBT is making one but have not seen it. 
Also, Stereo World, a Chinese company, has one but is not marketed in the
USA.  These viewers (Life-Like, etc.) have plastic lenses and do not match
the quality of older viewers (Realist, etc.)

A new viewer with achromatic lenses will be possibly more expensive than 
these older viewers so your best choice might still be a good older viewer.
Their price is going up every year by about 10% so don't wait to get one. 
Now it's the best time.
