KINDAR
Hi all,
This sunday I found on a Brussels photo-swapmarket a neat "little" camera.
It's also relatively lightweight. It's called KIN DAR has several
shutterspeeds and even a rangefinder. I paid 125 US for it, which I consider
to be a reasonable price since stereo-stuff is not as common in Europ as it
is in the US. It's also in very good condition. Focussing is done by moving
the whole lensboard but.... not on the inside (REALIST, REVERE), on the
outside. To avoid like leaks around the part that is moving, rubber bellows
are used to connect the lenses and the filmchambers. Some research taught me
It was designed by noone less then Seton Rochwite (REALIST) himself. Can
anyone tell me more about this camera ? How old is it ? What price range was
it originally ? What is it's reputation ? Unfortunatly there is a special
flash-attachment needed :-(. Can this still be found ? It looks like nothing
I've ever seen before(not PC, not bayonet etc.). I don't know if can be used
with electronic flash or not (synchronisation). Can anyone help me to a copy
of the instruction mannual ?
Patrick.
PS. Bob, I've seen several FOCA but no FLEX'es :(. But I don't give up !
PS II : A MERRY XMAS AND A HAPPY "3D" NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE.
Loved the X-mas song :-)
