I have a wooden box about 1 ft long, 2 1/2 " deep and 7/8" tall (all approx)
one side has two openings about 1.5" square, it opens on two hinges and has
two spring loaded arms inside for holding a stereo glass plate secure. (I am
assuming a stereo glass plate since there were alot of them with it).

It has a handle which can pull out of the box about 7" but only when the box
is opened, it has a lifting and slideing action to it. At the other end of
the box is another handle but it only rotates and causes another arm inside
to move. It appears to somehow lift the glass plate out of the box.

Stamped on the inside is the number 1704, on the outside is white, or bone
colored name plate which says VERASCOPE RICHARD, MAGASIN: 7, Rue Lafayette
USINE. 25, Rue Melingue - PARIS

Now the question:

WHAT IS IT! Does it have any value? Reason being I would trade for other
stereo equipment with someone who could use it or add to their collection.
I also have some glass stereo pairs of Paris and other sites in Europe around
1880 to 1920 for anyone interested.
