'High end' lenticular images

I am seeking information about "professional" lenticular image processing.

I have seen some very impressive 'high end' lenticular transparencies (with
5 to 8 angles). I am trying to find the system responsible for the
creation of such images. Specifically, I'm looking to rent the camera (or
reproduce the effect with multiple cameras) and find the lab which can
produce the lenticular transparencies (or multiple copies) from the
negatives (slides). Does anyone happen to know how large these images can
be and still work effectively.

I am also aware of a more old-fashioned technology which involves two
surfaces, (the front with verticlal 'slots'), which creates a lenticular
'billboard' with two angles of view. (I don't know if this system really
works, or if it is merely a theoretical construct.)

Any information anyone can give to help me trace down these sources would
be greatly appreciated.
