Twin Cameras: Viewing Vertical Shots

I am shooting standard slide film, and I simply drop them into a 2x2
slide viewer (Franka from Reel 3-d). This is a steal-the-light model
(crane your neck to find a bright light source).
Since the 2x2's are symetrical in both directions, shifting the slides
to vertical orientation is no problemo.
{Oh, yes - (ATTN: Dr. George T.) I was browsing Reel 3-D's web site
and found an adapter, for around $5, that allows you to view Realist
mounts in the Franka viewer. I would still like some details on the
lighted viewers, though.}
I have had some good results with this, but it was before I had
obtained my IR-trigger. I was then using the super-low-cost "push &
pray" shutter release method (punch both buttons at what you hope is
the same time). There is an ever-so-slight slight difference in
shutter synch.
The difference is noticable, but not uncomfortably so. The
interesting thing is that it actually created a vibrancy to the
images, making them seem more alive.
The vertical orientation gives an exagerated feeling of height.
Most of my friends have the most dynamic favorable response when
viewing these images (in other words, they really liked them).
