Re: Dual Video Camera Convergence Points

This option is available in the StereoGraphics View/Record system. With some
limits, the displayed images may be moved horizontally (and vertically) with
respect to each other, and the edges are 'cropped' in the electronics.
Rather than refer to a "convergence point" in a parallel camera system, we
use the term "coincidence". The "area of coincidence" can be equated to
the "stereo window" of parallel film cameras. This avoids confusion with
the 'convergence' of toed-in cameras (or converged eyes).
(We have just completed a geometrically correct miniature video camera which
provides 3.75 times magnification in x,y, and z. This provides a very natural
enlarged view of small objects. It does suffer from barrel distortion due
to the lenses. (Soon I'll put a few pairs up on my web page.))
