Rick's AC bulb

Rick, you wrote:

"I like my original non-halogen bulb in my AC viewer just fine"

To my knowledge, there are no halogen bulbs for AC viewers. Just curious
to know which bulb you are using. If this is an original 80V/6W then you
are close to perfection. If it is a "newer" 120V/10W then you don't know
what a bright slide looks like.

I am also curious to know what prompted you to make such a statement. A
brighter bulb in a viewer with a rheostat is a blessing because you can run
it dim if that's how you like it, and still have the option to turn it up
if you want. With a dim bulb your options are: dim or dimmer.
