Yes, there is!  We are using an OpenGL-based system from
IBM.  It takes multiple CAD data formats as input (or I
suppose you could model from scratch as the data formats
for the software are in ASCII).  The product is called
IBM 3D Interaction Accelerator (3DIX) and runs on IBM
and SGI Unix computers.

We've used Crystal Eyes (although we don't own any) for
several presentations... including a projected shutter
glass setup with 800 people wearing the paper/disposable
polarized glasses.  We dynamically walked them through
the new Olympic Cauldron and tower that won't be built
until this spring.
