Ian,

I've only had my Fed-Boy for a few months and haven't run lots of 
film through it. It appears to be pretty solid but my big disappointment
is the lack of "depth of field" control with auto exposure. It seems that
the  camera selects both aperture and f-stop... you have absolutely no
control, nor know much about what will be in... or out of focus.

Needless to say, I wound up with a buch of images with soft backgrounds.

Using it on manual will give you this control... but the shutter speed
is then 1/30th sec... kind of hard to get sharp images of roller coasters
with that.

If you can live with this limitation I think it's a good buy... If not,
then just say good BYE...
