No, this is a small, die-cast metal projector .... much better quality
than the plastic versions. It's the same kind of quality as the
Stereomatic Has a decent lens too: Wollensak 3" f/3 coated
anastigmat.

It also has automatic frame centreing, a prism arrangement which
lights reflects the title window so the operator can see it and a
linkage operated projection pointer arrangement.

It's actually a very nice little projector (albeit non-stereo) and the one
I have is in very good shape apart from the ubiquitous broken index
"handle". I don't know how common this model is, but the one I have
is the only one I've ever seen.

I do have one version of the plastic projector which I looked at with
a view to robbing it of the reel-indexer ... but alas, it's not the same.
I also tried pulling apart a viewer with the same result. No
commonality of parts at Sawyers it seems <G>. Actually I think
it a question of the quality level again .... the indexer for this projector
seems to be of a better design than those used for the viewers or
cheaper projectors.

Pity that quality couldn't have extended to the operating "handle" which
is broken in this case (although the metal there *is* wider than I've seen
on any viewer) <G>.
