ANNOUNCEMENT: 4-lensed lenticular printing

  • Subject: ANNOUNCEMENT: 4-lensed lenticular printing
  • Date: Fri, 22 Dec 1995 06:36:41 -0700 (MST)

Yesterday I spoke with an official at 3D Image Technology, Inc. and
was informed that, effective immediately, Image Tech will no longer
accept negatives from 4-lensed cameras for lenticular printing.

According to this spokesman, the printing of four-lensed images
caused them to shut down their production line and re-set the
equipment each time a batch of these negatives needed to be run,
which is time-consuming - so they have decided that in order to
continue to provide the high level of service they are known for
in their 3-lensed products, it was necessary to take this step.

Although I didn't have anything to do with the decision (no one
asks me _anything_ ;) I do offer my condolences to the 4-lensed
world!

So, as a business response to this news, I decided to offer a

                      RITTAI BLOWOUT SALE!

I have a few units of the Rittai I camera still in stock! These
cameras have nice lenses, auto film loading, advance, and rewind,
built-in flash - and now at an especially low price - BELOW COST!!!

Previously $125, now $80 each!

Use your imagination - these would be great for hacking, or shoot
print film and have prints made from two of the half-frame negs -
use 'em with a pair reading glasses for macro stereo, or buy one
for it's collectible value - ANYTHING your imagination can dream
up - except lenticular prints. Is it possible to modify the advance
and cover one lens to make this into a camera that Image Tech
will process the film from? I don't know!

<insert Valium>
Whew - this was starting to sound like a "Crazy Ed's" commercial -
sorry - I'm all better now ;)
