Well your mods worked! The reason all shutter speeds gave correct
exposure is that the exposure is governed by the flash duration which
is shorter than any shutter speed on that camera. So the shutter is
just acting as a light protector for the film..and as long as it is
open when the flash fires it will be the light pulse that makes the
exposure. This is by the way the advantage of a between the lens
shutter (technically behind the lens in a Realist). A focal plane
shutter is very limited as most of its speeds are as a moving slit and
the flash just imprints a picture of the slit except at the very slow
speeds when that type of shutter just opens and closes fully. BobH
