Chris Helms (a.k.a., Neither Jake Nor Kristy) says:

>Don't miss these images, folks... Tim, I
>enjoyed all of the scenery you conveyed. I'll comment on the stereoscopic
>effects later--I hope many others will, too!
>Thanks again, Tim, for sharing so much of your work. I admire that you got

Let's not forget here that there is a group of photo-3d participants that
still live in the dark side of the information super highway and do not
have access to www. I am one of them... Possibly a miserable minority but
still we are around and cannot share all this wonderful information
advertised here.

I have been trying to get Tim to try a different kind of stereo
photography, the kind with a camera with TWO lenses and, if possible,
slide film, maintaining that the results of his beamsplitter work cannot
possible approach the quality of the results from the traditional stereo
camera.

Without seeing Tim's images I cannot comment on the subject. But
after reading Chris' enthusiastic reponse and knowing that Chris recently
switched from a Pentax beamsplitter (which he sold in Atlanta) to a Realist
camera, I wonder if Chris can put the photographer's talents aside and
comment on the quality of results based on the equipment used to record
them.

The method of presentation is an imprortant factor too. Is the
beamsplitter good enough for digitized images freeviewed in a computer
screen?
