Macro-Stereo Photography

Happy New Year to all!
I am interested in constructing a Macro-stereo photography system similar to
the Sidera 120 roll film camera ( Shown in the July '79 issue of Reel 3-D
News.) Any input on lenses, diaphragms, prisms, etc would be greatly
appreciated. Especially interested in proper lenses needed for such a system.
I'm told that a previous posting to this listing contained a description of a
device built from a 35mm body cap and two 8mm movie camera lenses. Could
anyone supply me with that posting?
While on the subject, can anyone suggest a book that would explain lenses and
how they work?
