To clarify this:  The 70s was the time in the USA when everyone was trying
to sell their 3-d stuff and no one was buying.  After the explosion of the
50s and the loss of interest by the general public there was just too much
equipment for sale and not any serious demand.

I wonder if more experienced members of the list (Bob Howard comes in mind)
can tell us now was it being into 3-d in the early 70s...
