I Got Those Nimslo Blues...
Note: this cool bit of brainpower isn't from me. It's from a friend of
mine who knows more about stereo cameras than anybody I know. Correction.
Make that more about stereo cameras than everybody I know. He want's to
remain a lurker, but okayed posting this useful information.
I've played with the Nimslo cameras some, and this looks like it would be
easy to do yourself. You may also want to modify the top with an access
hole to reset the counter.
You'd also need to block a lens opening.
Someone ought to take a Rittai apart and see if this applies re the gearing.
No warranties expressed or implied. Do this at your own risk!

"I've seen quite a bit of palaver on the list lately bemoaning the problem
of getting lenticular prints from cameras that make four exposures instead
of three. If it were important to me to get such prints, I would merely
modify a Nimslo to advance the film by three single frames instead of four
or two.
The gear we modify has thirty-six teeth, and moves one-third of a
revolution (12 teeth) during a film advance cycle. Twelve is
practically a magic number, being divisible by 4, 3, and 2. In the Teco
mod, to get half as many frames, we divide by two to get six (minus one)
and we remove five teeth. To get three frames (three--fourths as many),
we divide twelve by four-thirds to get nine (minus one). So we would
remove two of each set of twelve gear teeth.
If you don't want to do it yourself, I'm sure TECO would be happy to take
advantage of an expanded market."
