Realist slide storage

Just thought I'd drop a note here that I finally located one of the
Plano plastic storage cases mentioned a few months ago. It was in
the sports section (fishing tackle) of the local Wal-Mart. I grabbed a
model 3700 which does indeed look just right to carry Realist size slides
around in. The 3700 has insertable plastic dividers which result in
3 sections of about 35 slides each (Kodak style cardboard mount), and
there are 4 of these rows. That would give a capacity of about 420
slides. It has positive locking latches (plastic). It's made out of
a recycle type "5" PP plastic, but I'm not sure what that implies.
I dunno if I'd use it for long term storage, though, because of
potential out-gassing problems from the plastic. Maybe somebody here
can say what the implication of this kind of designation is.
It's a nice box - cost about $3.50 US. Semi - transparent, so you'd
not want to leave it where the sun would be shining directly on it if
you have slides (particularly Kodachrome, apparently) in it.
THANKS
