Viem-Master Reel Repair

There's been lots of good advice on here lately from the Sells and
Dalia Miller about what to do with old VM reels. I would like to
add one thing that comes from my experience. I had a super
rare reel that had completely come apart and I could not just
tuck some Elmer's glue between the reels and seal it back
up. I decided to remount the images in a VM personal reel.

To remount in a VM personal reel, I had to use an X-acto
knife to deepen the pockets, because regular VM chips
are square shaped, and don't have the rounded edges
that the VM personal chips have. My work was successful
and I can now enjoy the images, whereas before all I had was
two seperated reel halves and a handful of chips. I
would also add that this procedure is time consuming
and should really only be used if your reels are rare
or you have more time on your hands than you know
what to do with.
