Hi Peter - can we hold you personally responsible if this isn't the case :-)

I was lucky in that I did get a chance at Halley's with the naked eye, but I had to be between Cline's Corners and Amarillo about 10 miles from Interstate 40 to be able to do it. And even then it took some searching. I tried the next night 60 miles south of Dallas, but it was a no-go. I found the artifical aurora of Jan 14th, 1990 was quite a bit brighter (as seen from outside Flagstaff, Az) - what was the name of that experiment? - I forget. A really beautiful green color that lasted for maybe 15 minutes to the naked eye. Unfortunately I didn't think to try to photo it in stereo. 

I've been waiting a LONG time for a really spectacular comet appearance - here's hopeing this one turns out!

I've got the views of the Moorehouse and moon. If I can find 'em I'll scan them in and put 'em on the ftp site.
