I forgot to say that the GLIMPSE search engine occasionally gets
"confused" looking at the data and hangs. If you don't get a response
back pretty quickly, you might want to cancel that search and try
again in a few minutes.

The search should take no more than 15 seconds (more likely about 5
seconds) exclusive of data transmission time - GLIMPSE (when it's
working right) can search every word in the 10 meg digests archives
pretty quickly (incidentally, does anyone know what www.altavista.digital.
com is using for software? I can't imagine the amount of disk space
*they* are searching!).
