Super 120 cutter

It is indeed "snappy." The colors (using Provia, in my case) are both
"translucent" and saturated, and the images have great apparent sharpness.
I often get "oohs" and "aahs" from the ususally-jaded lab guys. The stereo
base of 30mm produces a very pleasant effect in closeups and allows
flexibility in window placement. The chips have a bit more picture area
than Realist-format slides. In addition, the camera feels solid and
well-built. The only drawback may be ergonomic-- the controls are made for
really small fingers!

Not to worry. It's very easy to cut by hand, because all your pairs have
black bands to separate them if you have wound the film correctly when you
shot it. A sharp pair of scissors (and a light table) is all you need.

stereo cameras (The INVALUABLE 1980 Reel 3-D compendium that
has an illustrated listing of EVERY 50's 3-D camera and
accessory) there is a mention of a Super 120 automatic
cutting and mounting device. Anyone know about this beast?

The Duplex Super 120 cutter was manufactured by ISO (Milan) and sold to
processing/mounting labs only. It seems to be a fairly rare item that sells
for about $300 in Europe when you can find it. It is illuminated via a
standard small bulb.

Take the plunge!
