RE: Closeup lenses for Nishika/Nimslo or any! Alan Lewis!
To expand on this a tiny bit. What Alan says is true...but what some
might not realize the distance is already in the "name". As the close
up lens is rated in diopters..+1 +2 +3 or combining a +2 & +3=+5..what
distance do they operate at??? If the camera lens is at
infinity...then the distance is the diopter distance. A diopter is a
reciprocal meter!!! so +1 = 1 meter or 39 inches. +2 = 1/2 meter or
18.5 inches, +3 = 1/3 meter or 13 inches.
and the +5 = 1/5 meter or 8 inches. The fact that the fixed focus
Nimslo and Nishika may be set on 14 feet instead of infinity does not
make much of a difference in the end. BobH
